A very warm welcome to the Maplefields Teaching School Alliance based here at Maplefields Academy in Corby.
Whilst designated to become a National Teaching School in 2014 we have a long history of providing School to School support, running courses to aid continuing professional development, supporting Initial Teacher Training and providing health check inspections and consultancy through school improvement work, within Northamptonshire and beyond.
As a group of special schools we formed our alliance to make a difference to the lives and learning outcomes of children and young people with a disability or special educational need, whether they be attending a mainstream or special school.
We can give support, advice and training on all aspects of SEN and together with our mainstream strategic partners and Pen Green Children’s Centre focus on the age range 0-25 years.
We are working with schools to ensure the very best teachers are trained and supported through their careers to deliver an exciting and innovative curriculum to the children in their classes. We aim to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and understanding to meet the needs of the pupils who find school a challenge for a variety of reasons. We are working hard to support talent and succession planning in order to help the careers and development of future leaders at all levels.
